The Blessings of a Supportive Community
Smithville Christian High School is blessed with generous financial help from its many supporters. This support blesses our school in three significant ways: First, campaigns in recent years have left the school with almost no debt, despite excellent and updated facilities; second, every year dozens of families receive extensive tuition support through our bursary programs; and third, the school is able to make many purchases that enrich the program it offers to its students. These goals are accomplished with the support of the following community activities.

● The T.P.C.E. Golf Tournament: The T.P.C.E. (Total Proceeds for Christian Education) Golf Tournament is held every September. The proceeds of this two-day event are divided between the Niagara Association for Christian Education (which operates two of our partner elementary schools) and Smithville Christian High. The golf tournament gives opportunity for supporters, staff, students, alumni and local business persons to interact in support of Christian education. The proceeds allotted to our school are used to fund our bursary programs. To sponsor a hole, to help organize the tournament, or to play golf, please contact Ted Harris at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or Tony Kamphuis at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
● The Fundraising Committee of Smithville Christian High School plans two events each year. The Smithville Christian High School Softball Tournament takes place every fall, providing a day of friendly competition between school supporters, alumni, students and staff. Each spring the committee plans our Spring Plant Sale, Dinner and Auction. The plant sale is a chance for the community to furnish their gardens with plants at bargain prices. The evening event brings supporters together for an excellent dinner, followed by an auction of a long list of items donated for the event. The funds generated by this committee are all used to provide resources for the staff and students as they pursue educational excellence. To volunteer with the Fundraising Committee, to register a team for the Softball Tournament, to donate to the Plant Sale or Auction, or to reserve your tickets for the Dinner, please contact Al Korvemaker at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
● The Annual Spring Drive: This drive is conducted in late March or early April of every year. It is our biggest fundraiser, one that involves the help of many volunteers who organize the event and canvass for the school. For over a decade, the drive has generated well over $100,000 each year. Every dollar raised is used for our bursary programs, providing tuition assistance to many of our families. To help canvass for the Spring Drive or to make your donation, please contact Sandra DeVisser at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
● The Tuition Reduction Incentive Program (TRIP) allows parents and school supporters to reduce their tuition costs, while supporting the school, through the purchase of grocery store shopping vouchers. Voucher orders are processed and filled on a weekly basis. Orders and payments that are delivered to the school office by 2 p.m. on Tuesdays will be filled and delivered to the school office or to your home via a student on Thursdays. You can download an order form by clicking here. For more information, contact Robyn Bezuyen at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address), or Sherri VanRyn at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
● The Foundation for Niagara and Hamilton area Christian Schools (FNHCS) was established in 1997, with a mandate to gather and invest planned gifts as a source of sustainable, long-term funding for our school.
